Meet the Administrators

Dr. Carol J. Johnson-Coote is an accomplished educational leader driven by the belief that “To whom much is given, much is required.” With an unwavering passion for shaping future generations, she champions equity, inclusivity, academic excellence, and community engagement in every facet of her work.

Her career reflects a dynamic journey through roles that include assistant principal, magnet/program coordinator, clinical educator, instructor, and mentor, each underscoring her dedication to student success and transformative learning experiences.

Dr. Johnson-Coote holds a doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a Specialization in Educational Leadership and a master’s in English Education from Nova Southeastern University, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Florida Atlantic University. She recently completed the Leadership Experiences and Administrative Development (LEAD) program.

A relationship-builder at heart, she works tirelessly to connect with students, families, and staff, ensuring every learner is prepared to thrive in an ever-evolving 21st-century world.

Currently, Dr. Johnson-Coote serves as the Acting 9th Grade Assistant Principal and Medical Sciences Magnet Coordinator as she continues to inspire excellence and innovation in education.

As an educator with a deep commitment to academic excellence and student success, I proudly serve as an Intern Principal at Blanche Ely High School. This year I will be specifically working with 10th grade students, the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and Mathematics departments. I am a proud HBCU graduate of Alabama State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in mass media communications. I later pursued my master’s degree in Cross Categorical Special Education and earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

With a background rooted in instructional leadership and inclusive practices, I work closely with teachers, students, and families to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all. My focus is on using data-driven strategies to improve math proficiency, support the unique needs of our ESE population, and guide our 10th-grade scholars through a pivotal year in their high school journey. I am passionate about fostering a culture of accountability, equity, and achievement across every classroom.

With thirteen years of dedicated service in the Broward Schools educational family, Ms. Letizia brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role at Blanche Ely High School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Science Education from The Florida State University, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Social Science from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Capella University. Proud to be a member of the Tiger Family, she currently supports the Science, CTACE, Magnet, and Clerical departments, continuing her commitment to student success and academic excellence.

I am Shenee Rowe, the proud 12th Grade Assistant Principal at Blanche Ely High School and the 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year for Broward County Public Schools. It is a privilege to support the trailblazing Class of 2026 as they prepare to walk the stage and celebrate their accomplishments. I have had the joy of serving as their AP since their 10th-grade year, witnessing firsthand their growth, resilience, and achievements both academically and socially. I love and believe in every single one of them—through the end and beyond.

My passion lies in building strong relationships with students, families, and staff to ensure that every student is equipped with the tools, confidence, and opportunities needed to succeed beyond high school.
