In accordance with Florida law, we are providing you with your child’s school financial report. The figures in this report represent the revenues and the expenditures allocated to the school, both in total and per FTE (full-time equivalent) student. This data is compared to the rest of the schools in the district and the state. was presented to Principal Karlton Johnson by Commissioner Dale V. C. Hollness at the Broward County Commissioners Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

The Broward County School Board recently appointed a 19-member Redistricting Steering Committee to lead the single Board member reapportionment process, and create a recommended map with new district boundaries. The 2011-2013 redistricting project, currently underway, provides for extensive public participation through a series of public hearings – one in each of the seven districts throughout the county – to inform the public about the process and requirements for drawing new School Board district map alternatives and receive input. 21st Century Community Learning Centers
This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for BLANCHE ELY students. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children. Our 21st Century Afterschool Program is offered Monday through Thursday 2:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. For more information, please contact Student Affairs at 754-322-0971.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), Fire Rescue Division, has developed a program form
called BECCA, which stands for Broward Emergency Critical Care Assistance, for children with
